Gema Diaz, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #125783

Are you carrying family expectations, old wounds, and the pressure to “hold it all together?

You don’t have to do that alone.

I support young adults—especially first-generation individuals—who feel weighed down by anxiety, intergenerational trauma, grief, or relationship challenges. You may be carrying responsibilities no one prepared you for, navigating cultural expectations, or trying to break patterns that have lived in your family for generations. You don’t have to do it alone.

    Approaches

I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), attachment-focused work, and culturally affirming practices. I also offer neurodivergent-informed care by supporting different ways of thinking, feeling, communicating, and processing of someone with ADHD. As a first-gen, bilingual therapist myself, I understand the pressure of holding multiple worlds at once. My approach is grounded in cultural nuance, deep compassion, and a commitment to creating a space where you don’t have to translate your experience—you can simply be you.
